Interface for Salesforce - creating a visual universe for a high-speed SaaS

Early 2024 I unfolded a visual brand universe and created a Salesforce partner logo for Interface for Salesforce, a platform built within the framework of Deep. At it's essenese the platform enables comapnies to engage their customers wherever they are with easy to use email templates and campaigns. I captured the six core features through cinematic 3D visuals and a landing page prototype which where implemented by the in-house developers.

Salesforce partner logo
The salesforce partner logo can be used as a standalone icon, graphic element or in combination with labels like “for Salesforce®” or “Powered by Salesforce®”. The concept revolves around layers and depicts the interface as the convenient single 'pane of glass' on top of the powerful backend engines. Making this icon I adhered to the Salesforce Partner Branding Guidelines: ”Indicate in your marketing materials that your offerings integrate with Salesforce by using smaller text in a plain font. Emphasize your brand, not Salesforce brands. Use the phrase “for Salesforce®,” or the like, but only do so referentially.”

The benefits of building a brand universe in 3D
Leveraging Cinema 4D I crafted an immersive and engaging visual story that seek to captivate IFS's audience and set it apart in the niche. By building a unique brand universe in 3D, IFS gained key advantages such as flexible visualization, movie-like realism and detail, and the option of dynamic storytelling through animations. Additionally, the dynamic visuals enabled IFS to maintain an otherwordly identity across channels - from the landing page, across socia media to in-office posters.

The cinematic approach
The hero visuals reference cinematography to convey a feeling of the future and provoke an immediate response: “I really need to see this scene in a sci-fi movie.” It’s a distinct visual universe where rugged mountains are metaphors for growth, and interiors invite the viewer to take role of the hero in the unfolding story. Blue to purple hues evoke the trustworthy and calm nature.

Six core features
The client wished to highligt six distinct features of their product and these six words where the starting point for a storyboard and tech-focussed sci-fi narrative. It takes 30 minutes to learn how to use the Interface for Salesforce (onboarding) and about 5 hours to roll out a global campaign (rollout). It takes about 24 hours to create 12 email modules (template) and 2 minutes to translate a campaign (translation). Through automation it takes a few seconds to approve a campaign (approval) and it only takes 30 minutes to set up access rights globally (access).

SCENE 1: ONBOARDING
EXT. NIGHT SKY – MOUNTAIN RANGE
A stealthy CURSOR slices through the night sky, its sleek form barely visible against the jagged peaks.
INT. STEALTH PLANE – IN FLIGHT
An ELITE EXTRACTION TEAM sits in silence, their faces illuminated by the dim glow of tactical screens.
TEAM LEADER
(quietly)
Target acquired. Approach undetected.
EXT. NIGHT SKY – ABOVE HOSTILE TERRITORY
The ultrasonic stealth plane swoops low, its advanced tech cloaking its approach. Below, COMPETITOR PATROLS scan the darkness, oblivious.
EXT. EXTRACTION SITE – HOSTILE TERRITORY
With precision timing, the team executes the extraction, moving swiftly under the cover of darkness. In moments, the asset is secured.
TEAM LEADER
(into comms)
We’re clear. Let’s move!
The plane ascends, vanishing into the night, leaving no trace behind.

SCENE 2: ROLLOUT
INT. SPACE STATION – HIGH ABOVE EARTH
HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTIONS flicker to life, casting shimmering blue light across a circular room. The Earth looms beyond a massive viewport.
CAMPAIGN LEAD
(gesturing to projections)
Phase one: global synchronization. Engage all regions simultaneously.
The holograms morph, revealing intricate strategies and routes.
EXT. SPACE – EARTH ORBIT
Space shuttles depart from the station, each on a unique trajectory, carrying the campaign’s message to every corner of the planet.
INT. SPACE STATION – OBSERVATION DECK
The CAMPAIGN LEAD watches as Earth glows with coordinated signals, a transformative endeavor unfolding before their eyes.
SCENE 3: APPROVAL
EXT. DESOLATE WASTELAND – ALIEN TERRAIN
A fallen BEACON lies half-buried in stardust, emitting a faint, flickering signal.
EXT. SKY ABOVE WASTELAND
A sleek CARGO CHOPPER hovers silently, its rotors spinning in eerie synchronization.
PILOT
(over comms)
Awaiting clearance for descent.
INT. CHOPPER – COCKPIT
A COMMAND DISPLAY blinks: "0 SECONDS BY SELF-APPROVAL."
PILOT
(nods)
Approval granted. Descending.
EXT. WASTELAND – BEACON SITE
The chopper descends. The TEAM secures the cargo with military precision, urgency driving their every movement.
TEAM MEMBER
Let’s move. No second chances here.
The chopper lifts off, disappearing into the horizon.
SCENE 4: TRANSLATION
EXT. TROPICAL COASTAL BASE – NIGHT
FIRELIES illuminate a lush landscape. Waves crash rhythmically against a shore, where a lone BUOY bobs at sea.
INT. BASE – TRANSLATION LAB
Monitors display incomprehensible COSMIC SIGNALS. The TEAM works intently, decoding patterns with cutting-edge tech.
SCIENTIST 1
It’s not just noise. It’s a message.
SCIENTIST 2
(whispering)
We’re bridging worlds.
Outside, the natural symphony harmonizes with the hum of machines, as the team unravels the whispers of the universe.

SCENE 5: TEMPLATE
EXT. TEMPORARY OUTPOST – SAVANNAH
The sun sets over distant blue mountains. In the foreground, a STEEL CONTAINER stands as a hub of activity.
INT. CONTAINER – MAKESHIFT WORKSHOP
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAYS shimmer weightlessly in the air. The TEAM works tirelessly, assembling 12 intricate MODULES.
TEAM LEAD
Twenty-four hours. We can’t afford a second more.
Fingers fly across interfaces. The atmosphere is calm yet intensely focused, as the savannah remains tranquil beyond the container walls.

SCENE 6: ACCESS
EXT. SILICON WAVEFRONTS – DAWN
A lone, square-shaped MONOLITH rises from rippling, fluid-like wavefronts of silicon. Its surface shimmers, exuding an enigmatic energy.
EXT. ARCHIPELAGO – SOFT LIGHT
A HALF-MOON CHAIN OF ISLANDS, bathed in pale light, leads towards the monolith.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
“Welcome to the interface.”
The monolith stands as a symbol of convergence—a portal where order meets infinite possibility.
